The Dead Texan è il nuovo progetto su Kranky di Adam Wiltzie di Stars of the Lid, Aix em Klemme (anche ex membro di Windsor for the Derby e collaboratore dei Labradford) e della filmmaker Christina Vantzos.
Dal vivo The Dead Texan è un duo: 2 laptop, chitarre, voce e visuals.
La musica, sempre eccezionalmente rarefatta, si pone tra le magie di Fennesz e quelle dei Labradford ma con un taglio decisamente più pop.
