Ogni individuo ha diritto di prendere parte liberamente alla vita culturale della comunità, di godere delle arti e di partecipare al progresso scientifico ed ai suoi benefici.

Il Centro Europeo di Arti e Comunicazioni Contemporanee “L. Ceschia” nasce a Tarcento nel 2003 come luogo deputato alla realizzazione e alla tutela di questo diritto. Hybrida nasce da un’assunzione di responsabilità rispetto a una struttura complessa (11 laboratori, un ostello, una sala polifunzionale, un ristorante e un internet point) e alla sua posizione geografica strategica.
L’associazione ha immediatamente creduto alla possibilità di restituire questo luogo alla comunità, in un processo di ibridazione come riferimento ad un’antica pratica agricola che ha la propria forza appunto nello scambio e nella contaminazione. Hybrida da subito ha fortemente sentito la responsabilità di favorire scambi, informazioni, conoscenze, investendo energie e denaro in maniera ostinata e costante nella speranza di colmare il vuoto istituzionale e culturale in un contesto molto spesso limitato ed autoreferenziale.
In quattro anni di intensa attività ha raggiunto il suo scopo intessendo rapporti che costituiscono ora il suo raccolto, favorendo l’emancipazione culturale attraverso concerti, laboratori, conferenze e festival, e divenendo una delle realtà di riferimento internazionali, nello sforzo di colmare un vuoto che, in seguito all’insediamento dell’amministrazione del Sindaco Roberto Pinosa, si è tragicamente trasformato in abisso.
L’unica azione sensata che Hybrida ora crede possibile, a fianco dell’azione legale, è un’ulteriore mutazione: sganciarsi da vincoli strutturali ingestibili a fronte delle pretese dell’amministrazione e lasciare il Centro “L. Ceschia” vuoto.
Hybrida prosegue con Azione-Evacuazione venerdì 20 luglio a Cividale del Friuli, accolta dalla Società Operaia di Mutuo Soccorso e Istruzione nell’ambito di Mittelimmagini, che ospiterà in Piazza Foro Giulio Cesare 15 il concerto del musicista giapponese Seijiro Murayama, con illuminazione polifonica dell’area e spazi informativi.

We are writing to give a summary of our activities as Hybrida and inform you about the present situation.

Our relationship with the Tarcento authorities, after the latest facts and events, would force us to a further change in our plans and way of action.

HYBRYDA WILL CONTINUE ITS ACTIVITY outside Tarcento, so please keep on writing and send us your programmes and proposals, even though we will not be in a position to do a lot in these last few months of 2007.

The Centro Europeo di Arti e Comunicazioni Contemporanee “L. Ceschia” (“L. Ceschia” European Centre for Contemporary Arts and Communication) was funded in Tarcento in 2003. Hybrida represented a committed body within a complex structure (11 craftspeople workshops, a hostel, a multifunctional hall, a restaurant and an internet point) on a geographically strategic territory.

Our association has immediately believed in the possibility of giving the restored centre back to the local community through a process of hybridization – referring to an ancient agricultural practice which in fact has its power in exchange and contamination.

Hybrida has felt from the start it was its responsibility to favour information, knowledge, exchanges and connections. It has invested energies and money in a constant and obstinate way, hoping to fill the institutional and cultural gap in an often limited and self-referential context.

During four years of intense activity Hybrida has developed a wide net of relationships and given a good contribution to cultural emancipation through concerts, workshops, conferences, festivals and by becoming one of the international reference organizations. Its aim has been to fill a void – which after the appointment of the present mayor Roberto Pinosa and his administrative aides has, tragically, become an abyss!

Now, besides legal action, the only possible and sensible thing is a further mutation for Hybrida by getting free of the unmanageable structural bonds which the local government administration forces on our organization and leaving the Centro “L. Ceschia” empty.

Grazie per la comunicazione, anche se è motivo di sgomento per il grande intento riuscito a mantenere in questi anni, ricoprire il vuoto attraverso l’organizzazione di un centro multifunzionale è cosa ardua ma valorosa nonostante i divieti imposti dall’amministrazione.

I’ m very disappointed about how the situation turns on.
I just came this summer in my original family place (Tarcento) and I was very sad to see that evrything there is empty, without any life…
I’ just writing to encourage to pusue your activities and keep your
